Thing # 5 Beyond MyFaceSpaceBooking

I picked Plurk since it is more for beginners and it was really easy to set up, I even changed the layout. Yep, I'm starting to feel a little tech savvy now... I wouldn't say it was a unique experience, personally I found it a bit boring. I also don't see how it will have some application to school work. As far as business development, maybe the other one would be better, I'll take a look at it. Lots of ways this could be used for evil but I will not list them in fear of giving anyone any ideas. Oh, and when doing a search for AiMN16Things, it doesn't find you.

Thing #4 Social Networking

Since I absolutely hate MySpace I created a profile on Plaxo. Interesting little site, hope I don't get spammed by barely legal half naked little girls! If they leave me alone This could be a great place to show my work and network with other real people who have all their clothes on!

Thing #3 Online Communication

I have been using my OLS since my first week at Ai. It is very useful because, well, it's FREE. I was able to access my midterm grades and final grades for the quarter, register for classes, check my schedule, and can always find out about upcoming events. I found out about the 16 Things through my OLS email account. The BEST THING EVER about OLS; NO SPAM EMAIL! I only get email from school and the few people I give the address to. I also found it helps in landing a job interview, 2 of the 3 jobs I emailed resumes to got back to me stating they really appreciated that I had an Ai email account as it showed upfront that I am really going to school for something that relates to the job! Oh, I don't know what I am doing wrong but I have never had a problem setting up or accessing anything on there.

Thing 2: Set Up an RSS Account and Add Feeds

Soooo easy, but so many to choose from! I did Thing 2 a few days ago and have been adding and deleting feeds several times a day. I found some decent interior design feeds but am still searching for something to blow my mind...

Thing 1: Setting Up Your Blog

Since I am nowhere near tech savvy this seemingly easy task was quite a challange for me! My husband and I have a joint myspace page but he does all the setting up and editing, I just read and send messages. But it was really fun. I had a blast creating my avatar. They should have more tattoo options, my avatar looks kinda naked and bare compared to me. Maybe I'll put up a real photo since my tats are way better than the avatar!
